We're back for a pun | Advantage zyaada
Well, we told you despite falling rankings we won’t be posting new this week, leaving you with a lot of research on current work at http://advantages.us or our new O’nomics subject depth at http://socialone.info but we are back for a bit to say something to you, that we think the nytpicker in you might like. And i hope the nytpicker also takes time to read this, and so on..
Well Ross Douthat, shouldn’t do that. His latest and quite popular piece on how and what Obama is as a person, is well near a disaster as Detroit airport and flight 253. It is really unproductive and inelegant to write of Obama’s personal judgment from these really managed pieces of agenda you have seen since August. There is nothing of Obama’s personal preference in his Healthcare handling, his noble prize acceptance or his impromptu trips to Singapore for the Olympic bid and whistlestop tours for the infrastructure stimulus.
Our Douthat starts (link to article here) instead in his analysis as ‘crypto Marxist radical’, ‘post-American utopian’ and don’t forget ‘willing tool of the national security state’ in the same breath. He goes on to add a ‘doctrinaire liberal’ on a person who has been diligently just going thru his own well publicised agenda.
He is trying to pick up fragments of an american state with well established new priorities and raging fires as he stepped into office and nothing has changed or manifested in the 44th president more than the desire to go through his ‘The Audacity of Hope’ dialogue with his constituency(ies) and at this time Douthat should again ‘do that’ and read the book.
It is a small wonder therefore
.. he’s governed as a conventional liberal who believes in the existing system, knows how to work it and accepts the limitations it imposes on him…The upside of this approach is obvious: It gets things done. Between the stimulus package, the pending health care bill and a new raft of financial regulations, Obama will soon be able to claim more major legislative accomplishments than any Democrat since Lyndon Johnson.
Really, i think it is almost unthinkable when the printed word is being held to ransom that one should waste so much of it on imprecise and incomprehensible rat-a-tat op-edits. As it is, the equally unthinking loss-making ‘moguls’ that are currently running the media industry aground. Mr Douthat should be advised ( if not by the nytpicker) to get his writing style simplified and to read reference texts before shooting off esp on good old Boxing Day in the old kingdom.
On the other hand is Krugman, another NY Times columnist that the nytpicker spares while checking Mike Albo and Mary Tripsas travel bills. We being a finance consulting team, found ourselves ths being able to use this boring long holiday for giving a piece of our mind to the great Krugman as well. Friedman, didn’t take much long to get out of currency wwith his flat diktats and Krugman is also well on his way to losing his perch with his speaking ‘simple life’ and riding and writing in Aubergine drippings of drudge and huff ( that pun deserves careful shredding, write to us and we’ll feature you all week)
However, Krugman is brilliant in our inimitable style and his, just wading the noughties and the aughts decade for the three simple assertions that must form the basis of the new plan. No new jobs, no rise in housing prices and no gain in stocks in the decade ( link to article here )
Well It’s Onomics from here, all you have to do is start with the winners in growth (India and China) though in line with a generation of prejudice, the next decade will again see US flailing around China when the dragon has no intention of learning why it’s growing, cunning as it is and in the next decade the undefined discovered would be how India and the US were again bosom buddies in the trajectory …what a parable for when it is just Boxing day in the old kingdom. You’ll here more from me on the subject , but it has to be lucid and before Krugman, so it will be just one or two reads in the year..BTW, they have started operationalising on the Bottom of the pyramid ( CK Prahalad) and the innovation as espoused in the nervous nineties and we and twitter haven’t found a money making model yet. ( big money for us, though we’ve both made a lot for everyone else)
As we said, we’ll be back next week..
